SBMI is a registered Bible School started as a Bible study group in 2003 at Pentecost Secondary School, Koforidua in Eastern Region of Ghana. The ministry was established based on the great commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ to his followers: to preach the gospel in all nations and make disciples in the kingdom of God, (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18). The aim is to train and equip the Christians (Ephesians 4:10-12) who are willing to spread the gospel, especially in the deprived communities. Also, another aim is to make disciples to disciple others (2Timothy 2:2) for Christ, in their various Church.
SBMI has trained over 105 students since its establishment. One remarkable mark of SBMI is that trainees are train to remain loyal to their churches. This means none of our students have ever moved from their denominations.

1. The Bible (Word of God)
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. That - the Bible is the only true word of God which directs man’s path to salvation. That the Bible is infallible in its declaration, final in its authority, comprehensive and all-sufficiency in provision, (Psalm 119:105,108; 2Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21)
2. The One True God
We believe in the existence of the One True God, Elohim, creator of the whole universe, indefinable but revealed as Triune God – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; that He has reveal himself through the Scripture and His creation to mankind, (Gen.1:1,26; Mat. 3:16,17; 28:19; 2Cor 13:14; Rom 1:20); one in nature, essence and attributes – omnipotent ( Deut 6:4; Job 42:2; Isa 46:9,10; Rev 19:6); omnipresent (Ps 139:7-12; 147:5; John 1:46-50); omniscient (Job 42:2; Isa 46:9,10; Acts 5:4,5)
3. The Deprived Nature of Man
We believe that “all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God” through the disobedience of Adam, the first man (Gen 3:1-19; Isa 53:6; Rom 23:23); and need repentance from sin (Acts 2:38; 20:21; Mt 4:17) and regeneration for the forgiveness of sin (Jn 3:3, 5; Tit 3:5).
4. Salvation (Saviour)
We believe that man needs a saviour (salvation) and this needs has been met in the person of Jesus Christ, our Lord (Mt 21:21; Jn 4:42; Acts 2:36; Eph 5:23; Ph 2:6-11), because of His Deity (Isa 9:6; Jn 1;1; 20:28; Rom 9:5; Tit 2:13,14), Virgin Birth (Isa 7:18; Mt 1:18; Lk 1:26-35), Sinless Life (Jn 8:46; 2Cor 5:21; Heb 4:15), Atoning Death (Rom 3:25; Heb 9:22; 1John 2:2), Resurrection (Mt 28:5-7; Acts 2:36; 10:39,40; 1Cor 15:3,4), and Ascension (Mk 16:19; Acts 1:9-11; 2:33-36), His Abiding Intercession (Rom 8:34; Heb 7:25) and His Second Coming to judge the living and the dead for their deeds (Acts 1:11; 10:42; Rom 14:12; 2Tim 4:1; Rev 22:12,20), etc.
5. Steps to Salvation
We believe that man receives salvation when he acknowledge that he is a sinner and believe in his heart and confess by his mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that He died to save him from his sins and was risen from death for his justification (Mt 10:32; Lk 12:8; Jn 1:12; 3:36; Ac 2:38; Ac 4:12; Rom 10:9-11).
6. Repentance, Justification and Sanctification
We believe all men have to repent and confess their sins before God (Lk. 15:7; Ac. 2:38;17:30) and believe in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ before they can be justified before God (Rom 4:25;5:1) we believe in the sanctification of the believer through the working of the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 1:30;6:11) and God’s gift of eternal life to the believer (Jn. 17:2,3;10:27,28; Rom. 6:23b; 1Jn. 5:11- 13).
7. The Sacraments of Baptism and Lord’s Supper
We believe in the sacrament of Baptism by immersion as a testimony of a convert who has attained a responsible age of 13 years (Mt. 3:16; Mt. 28:19; Mk 1:9, 10; 16:16; Ac. 2:38). Infants and children are not baptised, but dedicated to the Lord (Mk. 10:13-16; Lk. 2:22-24, 34). We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s supper and Holy Communion, which should be partaken by all members of who are in full fellowship (Lk. 22:19,20; Ac. 20:7; 1Cor. 11:23-33).
8. Baptism, Gifts And Fruit Of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for all believer with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues (Joel 2:28, 29; Ac. 2:3,4,38,39; 10:44-46;19:16) and in the operation of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12:6 8; Gal. 5:22,23 and 1Cor. 12: 8-11;28-30)
9. Divine Healing
We believe that the healing of sickness and diseases is provided for God’s people in the atonement (Isa. 53:4, 5; Mt. 8:7-13; 16, 17; Mk. 16:17, 18; Lk. 13:10-16; Ac. 10:38; Jas. 5:14-16) however, the institute is not opposed to medication by qualified medical practitioners.
10. Tithes and Offerings
We believe in tithing and in the giving of freewill offering towards the cause of carrying forward the Kingdom of God. We believe that God blesses a cheerful giver (Gen. 14:18-20; Mal. 3:6-10; Mt. 23:23; Ac. 20:35; Heb. 7:1-4; 1Cor. 16:1, 2; 2Cor. 9:1-9)
11. The Second Coming and the Next Life
We believe in the second coming of Christ and the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the unsaved. They that are saved will resurrect to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal damnation (Da. 12:2; Mk. 13:26; Jn. 5:28, 29; Ac. 1:11; 10:42; Rom 2:7-11; 6:23)
12. Carrying out the Great Commission
We believe that every born again Christian have to carry the mandate of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. This mandate has been commissioned by the Master (Jesus) Himself to all believers to evangelize the world and those who will believe should be baptized and be taught (discipled) to follow all the teachings of the Lord. Those who carry out this mission, wonders and miracles will follow them, (Mt 28:18- 20; Mk 16:15-18, 20; Rom 10:13-15).

We wish to make it perfectly clear that due to the principle of separation of Church and State Mark. 12:17; James 4:4; 2 Corinthians. 6:14, the SBMI has chosen not to seek endorsement by either by Governmental Accreditation Agency but is a rapidly growing and respected network of over 100s of schools on the cutting edge of the cause of Christ.
The purpose of accreditation is to:
In the Ghana, United States and other parts of the world, accreditation of Bible College and Seminaries is a voluntary process with accreditation granted by private, non-governmental agencies. Governmental agencies do not provide theological or ministry accreditation.
Government-recognized accreditation is not necessary for the religious vocations we are training people in, which include: Apostolic Ministry, Prophetic Ministry, Evangelistic/Discipleship Ministry, Pastor-Teacher Ministry, etc. People can function and hold jobs in all of these areas without government-recognized accreditation.
Individuals seeking employment in government-licensed positions such as public school teachers, state-licensed psychologists or psychiatrists, and non-church-related counselors definitely need government-recognized accredited degrees.
Generally, people working in ministry positions do not need a government-accredited degree
